It's Monday and I am exhausted...

So a bookish thing happened this weekend. You may have heard of a little event known as the 24 Hour Readathon...I did not read for 24 hours, but I did read for almost 18. This means I read a few more books than usual this week. It also means I am ready to sleep for a solid 12 hours.

  1. Ahhhh - the days of purposely staying awake for hours are way behind me...except for those pesky insomniac nights. I do tend to have nights where I can't sleep at all, so I tend to read the night away. I can't say that I read four books though - I usually get a book finished in that time. Congratulations on the reading, amazing.

Happy Reading week, and hope you recover from your book induced exhaustion, *g*

    1. I have to say that I don't think I will be doing it very often! I read two books in their entirety and finished one I had already started during the 18 hours.

I hope you have an excellent reading week too!

  2. Oh my word, you and me both..I'm so tired still! And then I woke up this morning at 5 something because my sleep schedule is so messed up! Am I too old for this? Jeez! ;)

I can't wait to hear what you thought of Penumbra, that book looks super interesting to me!

    1. I'm glad I did it, but I'm also very happy the readathon only comes around twice a year!

I really liked Penumbra's bookstore. I have a special love for books about bookstores and I think that this one really examined the way old books and new technologies live together in our modern world.

    1. I loved it. It was so creative and so eloquently touched on the collision of antique books and technology.

But you look like you were successful even if it wasn't a full 24 hours. =)

  8. I've just started Mr Penumbra's Bookstore, due to your high recommendation, and am loving it! It reminds me of Cecelia Ahern's style, except with a whole lot of computer nerd jargon thrown in, lol! :)
